Privacy notice

Short version: no accounts, no cookies, no tracking, and no list of the wallets people check.

Signaldesk is run by Joosep Saar, Maastricht, the Netherlands.

Questions or requests: saarjoosep@gmail.com

Who is responsible

Joosep Saar is responsible for the personal data processed through this website (the “controller” under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR). You can reach me at saarjoosep@gmail.com.

What is processed, and why

  • Wallet addresses you check. When you paste an address, the site’s server uses it once to fetch that wallet’s public transaction history from Helius, our blockchain data provider, and sends it back to your browser, where the analysis runs. Wallet addresses are public on the Solana blockchain, but one can become personal data if it is linked to a person. I keep no list of checked addresses and do not link them to you.
  • Your IP address and basic request details. Your browser sends these to load any website. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes them to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks. The server also counts requests per IP address for one minute, to stop anyone using up the shared data allowance.
  • Shared links. If you copy a link to a check, the wallet address is placed after the # in the link. Browsers never send that part to a server; whoever opens the link runs the same public check.
  • Your settings. The budget, slippage and copy-bot fee you choose are saved in your own browser (local storage) so they are there next time. They never leave your device, and you can clear them by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics or advertising trackers, and no forms. The typeface and pictures are served from this site, so no other company is contacted when you load the page.

Legal basis

Processing is based on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): providing the wallet check you ask for, and keeping the site secure and available. You can object at any time by contacting me.

Who else receives data

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) hosts the website and its server, and processes IP addresses and request details on my behalf. Cloudflare’s processing, including any transfer outside the EU, is covered by its data processing terms and its privacy policy.
  • Helius provides the blockchain data. It receives the wallet address being checked, sent by the site’s server, but not your IP address.

Links to Solscan, a public blockchain explorer, only send you there if you click them.

How long data is kept

  • Fetched wallet history: kept in Cloudflare’s cache, under the wallet address, for up to one hour, then discarded.
  • Request counts per IP address: one minute.
  • Cloudflare’s own security and operations data: as described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
  • Emails you send me: until your question is dealt with, unless you ask me to delete them sooner.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or erase personal data about you, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Email saarjoosep@gmail.com and I will reply within one month. Because no list of checked wallets or visitors is kept, there is usually nothing stored about you to hand over or delete.

You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Not investment advice

Signaldesk analyses past on-chain data. Nothing on this site is investment advice or a recommendation to buy, sell or copy anything, and no decisions about you are made automatically.
